2024 The sierra club - When the Sierra Club began, our membership comprised 182 men and women, ranging from bankers to bohemians. When they got together (and in those days they could meet in a single room), the one thing they all shared was a belief that at least some of the magnificent Sierra Nevada should be preserved for future generations.
